KungFu? GongFu?

The phrase "Kung Fu" was invented by Westerners when they misinterpreted the word Gong Fu. We translate Gong Fu as “an ability we have gained through a lot of hard work and a great deal of time invested” - and that is what Wudang martial arts definitely are.

Internal martial arts

Internal martial arts are closely related to the theory of Daoist science. Over the millennia, Daoism has developed insights into the workings of the world and man. At first glance it is quite unusual for the Western mindset. By diligently practicing the martial system and studying Daoism, we develop unprecedented abilities — from martial to healing.

Wudang Martial Arts directs the training into 3 elements: Nei Gong-inner work / health benefits, Daoist principles, and martial applications. If one of these aspects is missing, it is not Wudang Gong Fu.
